CGTN Documentary to go live in Hong Kong again

State broadcaster CGTN’s English documentary TV channel will once again go live in Hong Kong on RTHK’s new TV channel 34.

The channel - CGTN Documentary is set to make its comeback on July 1. The channel was previously aired on RTHK’s TV channel 33 at its launch in 2014, which later began relaying programs of CCTV-1 in May 2017.

Apart from the documentary TV channel, It is understood that China Media Group’s radio program - The Greater Bay will also go live on Hong Kong’s FM radio frequencies on July 1.

According to sources, public broadcaster RTHK will be tasked with managing the new broadcasting services.
