Bosnia inflation up in October

Consumer prices in Bosnia rose 4.3% year-on-year in October, following a 3% increase in the previous month, data released by the Sarajevo-based Agency for Statistics (BHAS) showed on Wednesday.

Inflation reached the highest level since November of 2008. Cost for transport increased the most, 13.5%, while prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages went up by 6.7%.

In addition, cost for housing and utilities added 2% and prices for restaurants and hotels gained 1.8%.

On the other hand, prices for clothing and footwear fell 8.7%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 2% after edging up 0.8% in the previous month.
