Former PM Boris Johnson Meets with Trump to Discuss Ukraine and Allegations of Lawbreaking

Boris Johnson, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, met with Donald Trump in the US to discuss the situation in Ukraine and to try to persuade Trump to support Ukraine.

Johnson is known to be an international cheerleader for the Ukrainian cause.

Trump has been non-committal about Ukraine and has praised Vladimir Putin.

Johnson has faced controversy over allegations of lawbreaking during his time as Prime Minister, including accusations of hosting lawbreaking parties at Chequers and No. 10.

Starmer, the leader of the Labour Party, said that Johnson has questions to answer about the allegations and that people are fed up with stories about Johnson's lawbreaking.

Johnson has denied any wrongdoing and said that the allegations are "a load of absolute nonsense." The Cabinet Office received Boris Johnson's pandemic diaries and referred the matter to the police due to concerns under the civil service code.

Downing Street denied the involvement of Johnson was a politically motivated "stitch-up".

No 10 stated that Rishi Sunak had no involvement in the decision to hand over Johnson's diaries and that ministers had no involvement in the process and were only made aware after the police were contacted.
