BMW driver wanted after hitting four cars during police chase in Mong Kok

Police are searching for the driver of a white BMW who escaped from a police pursuit after hitting four cars in Mong Kok on Saturday morning.

The chase started at around 10am this morning when officers from the West Kowloon regional emergency unit approached a suspicious white car on Mong Kok Road.

As officers approached the BMW, the driver sped up and headed towards Tung Choi Street instead of pulling over.

The car was blocked in by other vehicles, but the driver squeezed his car in between another passenger vehicle and a truck, hitting two cars on the right side as well as a minibus before the driver successfully made a right turn into Bute Street.

The driver hit a fourth car after making the turn and headed towards Nathan Road. The white BMW was finally located on Pitt Street near Tung Fong Street in Yau Ma Tei, but the driver was long gone.

Multiple damaged areas were spotted on the front and side of the car. Police then contacted the vehicle’s owner according to the vehicle registry license.

The registered owner arrived at the scene to aid the police investigation but said his car had been stolen and he had no clue about the incident.

Officers are still looking into why the driver so desperately evaded police and have listed the case as a hit and run.
