A blaze broke out in a residential flat in Yuen Long on Thursday morning, causing over 400 people to be evacuated but with no injuries reported.
Police received a call at around 9 am to say that a residential flat in Hor Ping House of Long Ping Estate was billowing smoke with a fire suspected to have been caused by an electrical device, possibly a fan or heater.
Firefighters used one jet and mobilized one breathing apparatus team to fight the blaze, putting out the fire within 30 minutes.
Over 400 people in the residential building, including the faculty and students of a kindergarten, were evacuated.
No one was injured in the incident, and the cause is under investigation.
