All 175 stalls of Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair let out for HK$4.82m

The open auction for all 175 wet goods stalls at the 2023 Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair ended on Thursday with a total revenue of HK$4.82 million.

"To summarize the results of the auction for the wet goods stalls held during the past two days (Nov 9 and 10), all the 175 wet goods stalls were let out,” a spokesman for the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said.

“And the successful bids ranged from HK$5,440 to HK$69,000, which averaged out to about HK$27,556,” he added.

He went on to say that the auction for stalls of the LNY fairs at Tat Tung Road Garden in Tung Chung and Fa Hui Park in Sham Shui Po will be held at the Assembly Hall, 2/F, Lai Chi Kok Government Offices on November 11 and 14 respectively.

The auction sessions are scheduled from 9.30am until completion of the auctions.

The auctions for stalls of the Cheung Sha Wan Playground and Morse Park LNY fairs will start at 9.30am and 2.30pm respectively on November 15, also at the Lai Chi Kok Government Offices.

As for the auction for stalls of the Kwun Tong Recreation Ground LNY fair, it will start at 9.30am on November 16 at the Lai Chi Kok Government Offices.

The spokesman reminded successful bidders to comply with all the stipulations and provisions set out in the license agreement, or the department is entitled to terminate the agreement.
