A man of Colombian nationality was apprehended with 361 smaller packages of the alleged drug, while trying to remove them from 5 larger packages in the mangrove area in Costa del Este.

After complaints from several residents of the Costa del Este sector, National Police agents apprehended a man on Saturday, June 13, with five large packages of alleged drugs.

The authorities of the Attorney General's Office began an investigation over the matter.

At the moment, it has been possible to determine that the suspect was carrying a passport from the Republic of Colombia.

The suspect was seen by several residents of Costa del Este while walking in the area and pulling the big packages.

Agents from the Parque Lefevre area were the first to arrive in the scene.
