A yacht caught fire near Amador

The Panama Fire Department reported this afternoon of a boat fire in the Amador area.

According to the preliminary report, firemen from the Balboa, Calidonia and Plaza Amador fire stations attended to the emergency that occurred near the Smithsonian. Also, personnel from the National Aeronaval Service (Senan) joined the work .

The firemen proceeded to move the boat to the Amador Marina to do a better job of extinguishing the fire.

So far, there have been no reports of injured people or the cause of the incident.
