Three Hong Kong policemen have been suspended from duty after being arrested over conspiracy to defraud, taking the number of officers detained for various suspected offences this week to five.

The force revealed on Thursday that the three officers were among four men detained on Tuesday. The Post learned that the fourth suspect was a retired sergeant.

The four men, aged 30 to 58, were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud, while the retired sergeant was also arrested for allegedly impersonating a police officer.
