26-year-old nabbed over suspicion of drug trafficking

A 26-year-old man was arrested for drug trafficking yesterday at Wah Fu Estate in Aberdeen.

During the operation, police officers seized about 79 grams of what is believed to be methamphetamine, along with 35 grams of suspected ketamine and 7.4 grams of suspected cocaine.

Police estimated the drugs found on the man to be worth around HK$80,000.

The man was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking, and was detained for further questioning by the police.

A police spokesman said that drug smuggling is a serious offense. Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, offenders could be fined up to HK$5 million, and sentenced to life imprisonment.
