Citybus and New World First Bus (NWFB) launched a summer promotion for students and children, aimed at providing families with more options for weekend travels and promoting green transportation methods.
Every weekend during August, holders of the Student Octopus and children aged below 12 will be offered a 25 percent discount on over 200 franchised bus routes.
Citybus and NWFB Head of Planning & Scheduling Simon Wong said, “The comprehensive bus network of Citybus and NWFB covers popular destinations all around the city. With this summer holiday discount, families can spend their weekends at the Peak, Repulse Bay, Stanley, Laushui, West Kowloon Cultural District and many more places using our convenient yet affordable bus network.”
Wong also hopes the promotion will encourage citizens to “go green”, explaining that public transport is the most effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly way to travel.
The promotion does not apply to passengers who have already benefited from the government’s $2 Scheme.
